SocialToo, Make Myspace Worth My Effort Again
Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 6:40PM
Sharpen your knives, get the pitchforks and go light some fires tech pundits, I still like Myspace.
*sees crowd gasp*
Actually, I have always really liked Myspace more than Facebook. Let's just say Mark Zuckerberg scares me more than good ole' Steve Jobs wielding the Jesus Phone.
Sadly, I ruined Myspace in my younger years and I accepted everyone under the sun. It was a numbers game, and the more friends I had, the more I could gloat at school with my pals (sounds a lot like Twitter now, doesn't it). But eventually, my personal connections would get lost in the mix of useless connections and was a contributing factor (besides peer pressure) to move to Facebook where I am now strict as hell about who I let in.
I want to go back to Myspace, and I want SocialToo to help.
Already, SocialToo allows me to salvage my Twitter account by letting me unfollow everyone since we all know we can't actually follow 100,000+ people. Why not let me salvage my Myspace account in the same way? Myspace is still a leading social network (I don't care what you have to say, numbers don't lie) and would be a viable place to set up shop, considering its a rather empty of competition even with a ton of people.
SocialToo, and more directly, Jesse Stay, help me salvage Myspace? Somebody has to save us.
