Bloggers Who Live In Gmail/Talk, You Need PuSH Bot

Get Realtime RSS Updates in GTalk with PuSH Bot - TheNextWeb.

Gmail and GTalk are the center of my online world, it is always open and I am sure many other tech bloggers are the same. Since Gmail is so embedded in a lot of our online lives and we are most likely constantly checking in, it makes sense that we get real-time news directly in GTalk.

PuSH, created by Mihai Parparita, allows you to subscribe to blogs via the GTalk bot and if they are PubSubHubBub enabled, you will get every post in real-time via IM.

This is a big deal if you are a tech blogger, many blogs are using PubSubHubBub for their real-time needs as well as major tech blogs. This means that if you are into the whole, "we break tech news" thing, then this is vital for you to have as a blogger. Also, many company blogs use PubSubHubBub, and following these companies via IM could give you that ever slight edge to publish the latest and greatest tech news.

As for enabling PuSH, I will let Zee from TheNextWeb explain. He has provided step-by-step directions to add the PuSH Bot as well as directions on how to import RSS feeds and OPML lists, just click on the link above.

P.S. Feel free to add Pages Are Social to your list, I am PubSubHubBub enabled as well :P
