There are a lot of people that have inspired me to share my thoughts on tech, however minuscule, through blogging. They are the people who push me to work harder at blogging, improve my writing and most of all, seemingly have a lot of faith in what I do. I intend on meeting these people (and some of them I have recently meet) and this is just list of them with a slight explanation as to why. I will be doing this list in 5 parts, simply due to time and I would feel bad for anyone who would read a list as long as mine.
Part 1:
First and foremost on my list is Alex Wilhelm. We blogged together for nearly 8 months, 6 months of that time spent on TechGeist. We worked our asses off every day covering the latest tech news. No matter what idea I have, he backs me up 100% with a touch of constructive criticism. He feels free to tell me when my posts are crap and worthless and when they are awesome. Without Alex, I must say, I would not be where I am at today with blogging. Thankfully, I got to meet Alex a few months in Chicago and had a blast, intend on visiting again soon.
I swear to god I am not Louis Gray’s personal spokesperson. With that said, he is one of my favorite bloggers and it is crazy how much faith he has in me. I mean, the dude hired me. Let’s be honest here, I am an 18 year old teenager that can get easily distracted by girls. Hiring me was definitely a risk and putting his reputation out there for me is something I won’t forget. Oh, and did I mention I have never actually met Louis? When I go to California this summer that is one of my first things I am going to schedule, even if I have to miss a day of TC 50 for it (and those tickets are damn expensive).
Mahendra Palsule, is a crazy thoughtful guy and awesome to talk to. I have had many conversations on FriendFeed with Mahendra and talk to him on Skype semi-regularly. His blog, skepticgeek.com, is probably one of the best blogs I have ever read and while he doesn’t post often, when he does I make sure to read. His blog is one of the few blogs I manually type into my address bar to check up on. If you know me, then you know this is a big deal. Sadly, visiting Mahendra is going to be quite a chore, considering he lives… oh idk… half way across the world in India. I’ll get my butt over there sometime soon though
I hope to have Part 2 up by… Friday? Don’t quote me though, I am on a pretty tight schedule.
