The iPhone App That Translates…As You Speak..

Jibbigo, a bilingual translation tool created by Mobile Technologies in collaboration with InterACT, is now available on the iPhone App Store.
By speaking into the application, Jibbigo will automatically translate each sentence.
The price to do so? A whopping $25 bucks.
Don’t get me wrong, if this app does live up to its expectations, there is no reason they shouldn’t expect any less, but therein lies the problem. Does it live up to its price?
Watching the video demo (which is viewable by clicking the link above) the App seems to do exactly what is meant to do beautifully, but when is the last time a video demo lived up to the actual product?
We also have to question an iPhone owners mentality of pricing for applications. Many application developers are charging the standard $.99 cents for their applications, and a lot of the times awesome application are completely free. This obviously places Jibbigo well above the standard price point. So even if this application is great and deserves $25 a download, I doubt it will happen.
What do y’all think of Jibbigo? Can it live up to its hype and its price?
